A virus, SARS-CoV-2 led to the COVID-19 pandemic and halted the daily lifestyle of every individual all around the globe making it worse day by day. The health care providers and other frontline workers were at great risk of contracting this disease. These front-liners like health care providers, police personnel’s, and journalists are the people who help other normal people to live their daily life with ease in some manner during such pandemic situations. Such a workforce should be protected by any means possible so that they don’t have to face any mental illness while serving the sick. Also, they can be protected from any kind of hazards; physical and biological.
In order to protect health workers from such situations and maintain the flow of health care services in such havoc, NELUMBO, NEPAL started to provide these frontline workers with medical safety materials such as PPE set, sanitiser, masks, and all such materials required for the battle with COVID-19.
Similarly, with the progression of days and the contingency of the virus, NELUMBO, NEPAL extended its help to other places like schools and other institutions that came directly in contact with the people on daily basis. While the number of infection due to COVID-19 was declining slowly the chances for its upsurge was still there, and with the lifted lockdown and physical teaching and learning practice back, most of the public schools were out of their economic capability to support the school with medical safety materials. It is when NELUMBO, NEPAL brought its support to schools mostly the public school in rural areas and some schools in city areas as well.
