Sweater Distribution Madi RM-03 & 04 on Mangsir 14, 2082 | November 30, 2025
NELUMBO, NEPAL has been dedicated to transforming the lives of children through education since its initial years. Recognizing the challenges faced by government and public schools, the organization has implemented a range of programs to enhance the quality of education and create a more inclusive, supportive learning environment. To achieve this, NELUMBO, NEPAL has provided essential resources such as Euro guards with jars and dispensers to ensure access to safe drinking water, sanitary pads to address hygiene-related absenteeism among girls, and educational materials like stationery and sports equipment to foster a well-rounded learning experience. These contributions aim to make schools more child-friendly and supportive spaces that encourage learning and personal growth. Beyond material support, NELUMBO, NEPAL addresses systemic challenges by providing qualified teacher support to government schools facing staffing shortages. This initiative helps improve classroom instruction and ensures that students receive the guidance they need to thrive academically. Additionally, the organization offers scholarships to students from underprivileged and low-income families who demonstrate academic potential but lack the financial means to pursue education.
On November 30, 2025 (Mangsir 14, 2082), a sweater distribution program was organized at Shree Sitaram Secondary School and Shree Dhruv Secondary School located at Madi Rural Municipality 03 & 04 wards, respectively. This initiative aimed to provide warm sweaters to students from five government schools within the wards no—03 and 04 of Madi Rural Municipality to ensure their comfort during the cold winter months. A total of 359 students from these schools benefited from the program, with sweaters distributed in accordance with each school’s dress code. By providing sweaters according to the school’s dress codes, the initiative also maintained uniformity and a sense of belonging among the students. The details of the sweater distributed are provided in Annex II.
This program was conducted through a collaborative partnership between NELUMBO, NEPAL and the Madi Rural Municipality. The initiative was jointly planned, coordinated, and implemented by both organizations, ensuring shared responsibilities, resource mobilization, and effective communication throughout the process. Before the distribution, a comprehensive needs assessment was conducted to identify the exact number of sweaters required. This was followed by consultations with representatives from all five schools to determine the appropriate sizes for every student, ensuring a proper fit for maximum utility and comfort. The program not only addressed the immediate need for warm clothing among students but also promoted inclusivity by ensuring no child was left behind due to financial constraints. To ensure the fairness of the program, it was conducted in the presence of local representatives. This program demonstrates NELUMBO, NEPAL’s dedication to closing educational gaps, aiding marginalized areas, and tackling both short-term issues and long-term problems in order to empower children and create a better future.
