Many people in the remote areas belonging to the marginalized community cannot even afford the treatment of minor illness or surgery and die. To address this problem NELUMBO, NEPAL has established Medical Charity Fund to support those patients who are suffering from treatable diseases but are unable treat themselves or their family members because of their weak financial condition. This fund is mainly for the individuals belonging to the disadvantaged and marginalized community. The individuals/clients are assessed through several protocols of the organization before they are provided with medical charity fund. They will only be provided the fund if they meet protocol of the organization and as per the decision of the board members of the organization.
