The Health Camp took place on Poush 1, 2079 (December 16, 2022) with the main objective of providing general health care services to the local community people of Aandhikhola Rural Municipality-01, Panchamul from qualified health professionals without any cost. This camp was organized with the main theme of “Identification, prevention, and treatment of chronic diseases”. Along with the treatment and medication services, it was also a means for screening the most prevalent health problems of the local people. Not only the curative part but special emphasis was also given to the preventive aspects of health through awareness programs. Throughout the camp, the awareness program covered a range of health-related topics using the multimedia approach.

In addition to routine check-ups, Dr. Prakash Karki attended to an emergency delivery case on the inaugural day, Poush 1, 2079 (December 16, 2022), at the Primary Health Care Center (PHCC). The camp concluded on Poush 2, 2079 (December 17, 2022), having successfully registered a total of 633 participants. Among these attendees, 34% were male while 66% were female. The camp encompassed a comprehensive range of 1646 distinct medical services.

Doctors had referred 13 cases that needed further treatment to different hospitals in Pokhara. Those cases are mostly related to the ortho and ear; there are also some cases relating to the spine, skin, and gynae. Individuals unable to afford further medical attention due to their financial and social circumstances will receive assistance through the organization’s Medical Charity Fund. This aid will be provided subsequent to a thorough socio-economic evaluation.
