The Health Camp took place on Falgun 12, 2079 (February 24, 2023) with the main objective to provide general health care services to the local community people of Bihadi Rural Municipality from qualified health professionals without any cost. This camp was organized with the main theme of “Identification, prevention, and treatment of chronic diseases”. Along with the treatment and medication services, it was also a means for screening the most prevalent health problems of the local people. Not only the curative part but special emphasis was also given to the preventive aspects of health through awareness programs. Throughout the camp, the awareness program covered a range of health-related topics using the multimedia approach.

A total of 2923 different services were provided throughout the camp. Doctors had referred 11 cases that needed further treatment to different hospitals in Pokhara. Those cases are mostly related to ENT and skin; there are also some cases relating to the eye, ortho, and gynae.

The health camp received a positive and enthusiastic response from the community, government officials, and the local representative of the respective ward who actively participated. Individuals facing financial constraints in accessing further medical care due to economic and social reasons will benefit from the organization’s Medical Charity Fund, following a comprehensive socio-economic assessment.
