With the upsurge of COVID-19 transmission and severity lockdown was enforced to break the chain to COVID-19 transmission which was effective to some extent. On one hand, it helped to prevent the further transmission of disease throughout the country, while on the other hand, it affected the economy of the whole country; the workers who depend on daily wages for their living seem to be the most affected by it. Many were temporarily unemployed with no other source of income and savings to support their families during the lockdown. To address this problem, NELUMBO, NEPAL coordinated and collaborated with various local governments, organizations, and local social clubs to support the affected individuals and families.
