Scholarship Announcement

 

Nepalese Ultra Poor Marginalized and Biodiversity Organization Nepal (NELUMBO, NEPAL) is a non-government, non-profit making organization that works in Health, Education, Environment and Social Development in Gandaki Province.

NELUMBO, NEPAL is focused on quality education, for which it has been running a number of programs which includes training for teachers, scholarships to underprivileged children, teachers’ support, Euro-guard support, and distribution of educational and sports materials, etc. This scholarship program is initiated to support the young talents of Kaski (Annapurna, Machhapuchre, Madi, Reupa Rural Municipality and Pokhara Metropolitan City Ward no. 22, 18 and 4), Lamjung (Marsyangdi Rural Municipality), Syangja (Aandhikhola Rural Municipality) and Myagdi (Beni, Annapurna, Dhawalagiri, Mangala, Malika and Raghuganga Rural Municipality) who have recently cleared their SEE and give them a platform to explore their ideas and study further.

Required documents for Scholarship application

  1. Application letter with motivation for the study
  2. A detailed CV / Bio-Data along with the citizenship of the applicant or the guardian, and a recent passport-size photo
  3. Academic transcript and certificate (Grade sheet) along with SEE admit card
  4. Recommendation letter from the SEE passed school
  5. Certificate of poverty from local government (Ward or Rural Municipality, Sub-Municipality, Municipality, Metropolitan)

Further information:

  1. This scholarship will be awarded to support the poor students in any discipline for Class 11. Applicants must score above grade C+ or a GPA of 2.5 or 50% in the SEE.
  2. Scholarships are only available for students of the above-mentioned area who have completed their SEE from a government school.
  3. Shortlisted applicants will be evaluated by the organisation’s “Scholarship Sub-Committee” through “Social-Economic-Education Assessment” and the scholarship reward will be decided by the organisation’s policies.
  4. The applicant should study at the campus/colleges within the Gandaki Province and compulsorily submit the desired college/campus fee structure for study.
  5. If the applicants fail any exam or discontinue the study during the process, the scholarship will be terminated. Applicants are not eligible to get a scholarship if they receive a reward/compensation from any other means.
  6. Application must be received by 5 pm, Shrawan 5, 2082 (July 21, 2025).
  7. The application can be submitted through the email given below or through the organization’s administration section. Only shorlisted candidates will be contacted.

 

Note: NELUMBO, NEPAL retains the right to reject some to all applications even after the final decision without giving any reason. The office will remain closed on Friday and Saturday.
