Free Ear Camp at District Prison Kaski on Asar 21-22, 2082 | July 05-06, 2025
NELUMBO, NEPAL conducted 2 days of “Free Ear Camp” at District Prison Kaski, specifically targeting the inmates. This camp was conducted in coordination with the District Prison Kaski to address the often neglected ear health issues. Many inmates suffer from untreated conditions like ear infections, hearing loss, and wax buildup due to poor hygiene, limited healthcare access, and lack of awareness. One of the most common ear problems is hearing loss, which affects over 1.5 billion people globally and results from various causes, including congenital factors, infections, noise exposure, age-related issues, and use of certain medicines. Hence, this camp was organized to ensure early diagnosis, timely treatment, and promote health equity, aligning with basic human rights and supporting the rehabilitation process within the prison system.
