Education is a fundamental human right and a crucial driver of development. It is one of the most effective tools for reducing poverty and improving health, gender equality, peace, and stability. For an individual, education is a medium to acquire employment opportunities, earnings, good health, and eventually end generational poverty.

NELUMBO, NEPAL, for the last three years, has been providing scholarships to marginalized and diligent students of its working area. This program empowers academically talented students from low-income families by providing the necessary support to help them pursue their education, ensuring that financial barriers do not hinder their potential for success. In the fiscal year 2081/82, 14 students were selected from 19 applicants who applied for scholarships. The announcement for the scholarship was published in the Adarsha Samaj National Daily and the organization’s various social media accounts from Shrawan 28 till Bhadra 9, 2081 ( August 12- August 25, 2024) targeting the students who have recently passed their Secondary Education Examination (SEE). The Scholarship Sub-Committee carefully shortlisted candidates according to the organization’s scholarship criteria. Home visits were conducted to gain a deeper understanding of each applicant’s socio-economic and academic background, ensuring a thorough evaluation before making the final selections.

NELUMBO, NEPAL will cover the expenses of their admission, annual fee, examination fee, stationeries, and college uniform. The list of students who are qualified for scholarship programs is listed below:
